Can I receive treatment at Physion Barcelona?

Physion Barcelona is not just for private individuals seeking quality physiotherapy care; we also cater to professional athletes who require specialized treatment and rehabilitation. What can I expect from an intake session?

During the intake, we first assess your complaints through a (brief) interview, an examination, and some tests. We map out the situation, which leads to a treatment plan. We create this plan together with you. Depending on the type of complaint and how long the assessment takes, a short or slightly longer treatment will always follow.

What can I expect from a treatment session?

Each time you come in for a treatment, we briefly evaluate the current situation through a short interview and examination. This is followed by a treatment, often involving various interventions.

What type of treatment will I receive?

This depends on the complaint. The treatment may include: massage therapy, manual therapy (including mobilizations and manipulations), electromyostimulation, and exercise therapy.

Can the physiotherapist come to my home?

Yes, the physiotherapist can certainly come to your home, bringing a treatment table and all necessary equipment.

How much does a session cost per hour?

A session costs € 70 per hour, and a home visit session costs € 90 plus travel expenses.

Will my physiotherapy treatment be reimbursed?

If you have insurance, physiotherapy (even abroad) is usually reimbursed. We always recommend checking this with your insurance provider.

Will my physiotherapy treatment be reimbursed if I have Dutch insurance?

Often, if you have supplementary insurance. We always advise verifying this with your insurance provider in the Netherlands.

How do I submit an invoice if I want to claim it abroad?

You will receive an invoice from us, which is in English (it can also be in another language if needed), and you can submit this to your insurance provider.

Does the physiotherapist also make reports?

We certainly make reports. We do not charge for short reports. For long reports, for instance for a personal injury lawyer, we create an invoice that you can submit as expenses.

Will my physiotherapy treatment be reimbursed if I have foreign insurance?

Often, if there is supplementary coverage for abroad, but we always recommend checking this with your own insurance provider.
